PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting apparatus which can reduce the bubbling of liquid in a cap member that is caused by the opening action of an opening and closing member, and to provide a liquid suction device of a liquid jetting head. SOLUTION: The liquid suction device 10 has a body 21, an absorber material 22 which is disposed in the body and absorbs liquid from a nozzle face 61, a suction part 500, and an atmosphere releasing part 600. The suction part 500 has a first opening 641 formed at the bottom of the body and makes the liquid ejected to the outside of the body by making the liquid from a nozzle face absorbed by the absorber material in a state that the nozzle face is sealed by the body. The atmosphere releasing part 600 has a second opening 642 formed at the bottom of the body and releases the body interior turned to negative pressure by the suction part to the atmosphere by the opening action of the opening and closing member 605. An air passage part 640 for obtaining a flow of air between the first opening of the suction part and the second opening of the atmosphere releasing part is set between the bottom of the absorber material and the inner bottom of the body inside the body.
