PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device capable of being adapted by a simple constitution and inexpensively and surely constituting a redundant system from an input system to an output system. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a torque sensor 1 for detecting steering force of a driver as steering torque T<SB>q</SB>, a motor 3 for imparting torque to steering, a motor driving circuit 56 for driving the motor 3, a steering control means 53a for calculating at least target current<SB>io</SB>of the motor 3 based on the steering torque T<SB>q</SB>, a motor control means 53b for imparting an instruction to the motor driving circuit 56 based on the target current<SB>io</SB>, a steering control verifying means 54a for verifying the operation of the steering control means 53a based on the steering torque T<SB>q</SB>and the target current<SB>io</SB>, and a motor control verifying means 54b for verifying the operation of the motor control means 53b based on prescribed state quantity of the motor driving circuit 56.
