PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio communication equipment capable of data communication without peripheral equipment for authentication and complex input operation. SOLUTION: An authentication device 10 lowers transmission strength when a device 20 to be authenticated is within normal radio wave arrival range, and authenticates the device 20 to be authenticated when the device 20 approaches the radio wave arrival range in authentication. By the operation of a keyboard or the like of the authentication device 10 by a user carrying the device 20 to be authenticated as a trigger, the authentication device 10 logs in an own device. When there is no operation trigger at least for a prescribed time even if the device 20 to be authenticated is within the radio wave arrival range in authentication, the authentication device 10 logs off. When the device 20 to be authenticated is separated from the radio wave arrival range, the authentication device 10 increases the lowered radio wave strength. When the device 20 to be authenticated goes away, the authentication device 10 increases the radio wave strength to the normal radio wave arrival range and performs control to continue authentication.
