<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good label printer capable of easily performing operation such as replacing label paper and removing paper jams with limited space for opening and closing the printer while mounting a label peeling mechanism on-board. <P>SOLUTION: The label printer 1 has a printing mechanism 40 for printing labels 100 while conveying label paper 100 having a plurality of labels 102 affixed to a continuous web liner 101 in a peelable way and a peeler unit 50 for peeling printed labels 102 from the web liner 101 conveyed in a curved state by bending the printed label paper 100 at an acute angle from the back side of the web liner. The peeler unit 50 is attached to a printer cover 3 which is freely openably and closably mounted to a label paper filling compartment 4 of a printer body 2. A shutter 70 is provided in the printer cover opening/closing lever 60 for opening the printer cover 3 and for limiting the opening operation of the printer cover opening/closing lever 60 in conjunction with the peeler unit 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
