<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which detects various original sizes to automatically set a suited magnification zoom ratio to the paper size to control. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus detects the original size to zoom the magnification of a paper suited to the transfer paper. There are the sizes of millimeter series (A/B series) and those of inch series (Eng/Arc series) as shown in Fig. 3. The sizes detected at the positions of a first to fourth sensors showing the sizes in Fig. 3, as a table shown in Fig. 7, are classified in a first to fifth original groups to detect, thus detecting every original sizes. The original size is changeable according to its original detected position so as to determine the magnification zoom ratio suited therefor, since there are originals in the millimeter/inch series. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
