<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the degradation with time of a light emitting element by a new method. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device has a control transistor which is connected to a monitoring element, and an inverter an output terminal of which is connected to a gate electrode of the control transistor and an input terminal of which is connected to one electrode of the control transistor and the monitoring element.
