<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode control device for arc furnace which can control arc current, while suppressing the temperature rise of the winding of a furnace transformer. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises an arc impedance uniformity control means 63 for controlling a lift drive of the electrode 2 so that the arc impedance between the electrode 2 connected to a secondary side of the furnace transformer 1 and a scrap 4 becomes a constant, using a set value Iset of the arc current as a reference value; and an arc current suppressing means 62 for changing the arc current reference value according to the winding temperature T of the furnace transformer 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
