<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring the sheet thickness of a material to be rolled close to the target value uniformly over the entire length as much as possible even in the case that the output of sheet thickness control is saturated so that the output of automatic gauge control (AGC) is kept to the limit. <P>SOLUTION: When the output of the sheet thickness control at the i-th stand is saturated, the output of the sheet thickness control at the i-th stand is made so as not to be saturated by changing the target value of the sheet thickness at least at the (i-1)th stand among the stands on the side of the preceding stage of the i-th stand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
