PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse oscillator providing high frequency and high current pulses in which mechanical characteristics are recovered by turning metallic materials into plastic states for processing or sealing microcracks formed in metallic parts. SOLUTION: A controllable rectifier rectifies an alternating current supplied from an altering current power supply and outputs to a switching section according to a control signal from a control system. The switching section generates a pulse current using the current from the controllable rectifier. The control system controls start, stop, and reset of the pulse current generation, and controls the switching section and the rectifier according to a signal directing to specify or change the frequency and amplitude of the generated pulse current so that the generated pulse current has the desired frequency and amplitude. The switching section comprises one or more switching blocks coupled so that the amplitude of the generated pulse current can be increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
