PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure, without decreasing a workability, water-stop performance in a cutoff part. SOLUTION: The joint structure 21 for a mortar external wall under the invention is comprised of an asphalt tape 4 as a waterproofing tape adhered along the cutoff surface on a lath board 1, which is a base of an existing mortar 10 of the existing mortar external wall 2, extended from the cutoff surface of the existing mortar, a sealing material 5 as a watertight material applied into an inside angle part formed by the cutoff surface 11 and the lath board 1 so as to fill a gap between the watertight tape 4 and the cutoff surface 11, resin mortar 8 as a non-shrinkable hardener applied into the inside angle part so as to embed the sealing material, an asphalt felt 6 as well as a lath net 7 as watertight sheets layered one over the other with their edge parts upon the asphalt tape 4 and new mortar 9 applied over the resin mortar 8, asphalt tape 4, asphalt felt 6 and lath net 7 to be embedded.
