PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide having high flame retardancy, a polyimide resin composition, a flame retardant resin composition prepared by mixing the polyimide with a thermoplastic resin or a thermosetting compound, a polyimide resin molded article and a polyamic acid which is a precursor of the polyimide. SOLUTION: The polyimide having high flame retardancy can be provided by introducing a phosphazene into an imide skeleton. Further, there can be provided a polyimide resin composition comprising the polyimide, a resin composition having high flame retardancy even when the polyimide is mixed with the thermoplastic resin or the thermosetting compound, the polyimide resin molded article and the polyamic acid which is the precursor of the polyimide.
