The device has a control device (16) activating a warning signal in accordance with a control signal (20) such that the control signal is provided depending on a brake signal (14). An evaluation device (26) is coupled to outlets of two sensor devices for supplying the brake signal and a parameter signal. The device (26) is designed to provide the control signal in dependence of the parameter signal at its outlet for the control device. An independent claim is also included for a process for warning in a braking situation.
