Device for simultaneous sharpening of both sides of disc shaped workpiece (1) which is sandwiched in between left and right grinding wheels (2a,2b). By determining the position of workpiece, the location of its middle level is determined and is compared with middle level, defined by the axial guiding device, and the position of sharpening tool is so corrected that both middle levels coincide. Independent claims are also included for: (A) Device for simultaneous sharpening; and (B) Semiconductor disc.
