The extension arm has a drive (5) to move the telescopic tube (3,4) in and out, unlocking device (11) to operate the locking means (12) and coupling device (10) to couple the drive to the telescopic tube. The extension arm has a swivel piece (15) which juts out radially from the extension drive (5) and serves as unlocking device and is swivelled by the swivel actuator(16). It has an unlocking groove, which depending to the swivel position of the swivel piece comes in and out of the grip of the telescopic locking means.
