<p>The invention relates to a regulator for compensating level variations of water surface in conjunction with a water intake opening. The regulator includes a shutter member (11) to be moved vertically, which can be moved between the open position and the closed position, whereby while in the open position, the shutter member (11) opens a flow path to enable stream of water, and while in the closed position, the shutter member closes the flow path. According to the invention, the regulator includes a float (4) connected to the shutter member (11), which has been arranged before the shutter member (11) in the flow direction and dimensioned to float in a given depth, and which as the water level (13) sinks, moves the shutter member (11) toward the closed position.</p> |
