PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor post which can facilitate work for adjusting its height, and which can stably support a sleeper upright. SOLUTION: This floor post comprises: a supporting member 3 for supporting the sleeper 2; a screw rod 4 which is suspended from the supporting member 3; a tubular body 5 into which the screw rod 4 is loosely fitted in a mutually insertable/extractable manner and the upper end of which is provided with an overhanging part 14 overhanging toward the outside; a base member 6 which allows the erection of the tubular body 5; and a connection means 8 for connecting the screw rod 4 and the tubular body 5 together. The connection member 8 is equipped with a nut body 81 which is screwed to the screw rod 4, and a connection nut body 84 which is screwed into an inverse screw part 82, formed on the outer periphery of the nut body 81, from below and the lower end of which is provided with a locking part 83 locked to the overhanging part 14 of the tubular body 5.
