PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying the addition of nitrogen into molten steel after completing an RH degassing treatment without increasing a process. SOLUTION: When the molten steel 4 after completing the RH vacuum degassing treatment, is poured into a tundish 2 from a ladle 1, while adjusting spouting amount of the nitrogen gas for sealing between the ladle 1 and tundish 2, this adding method for nitrogen into the molten steel during the continuous casting, is composed of the addition of nitrogen into the molten steel 4 by spouting the gaseous nitrogen 20 into molten steel stream 8 during pouring into the tundish 2 from a tapping hole 5 of the ladle 1 through a spouting hole 11 of the sealing gas arranged at the peripheral part of a pouring hole 7 of a tundish cover 2 surrounded with a sealing wool 9.
