PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local exhaust system for a formaldehyde gas at a dissecting table, which enables a dissecting person to always carry out dissection under a formaldehyde gas concentration of 80 ppb or less in dissecting practice. SOLUTION: The local exhaust system for the formaldehyde gas at the dissecting table 1 is constituted by placing an intake port of a suction box 3 to face an intake opening provided inside the four peripheries of the dissecting table 1, connecting the exhaust side of the suction box to the intake side of a collecting intake box 5 through a duct 4, further connecting the exhaust side of the collecting intake box to an exhaust blower through a flexible duct 7, and providing the four peripheries of the dissecting table with flexible boards or comb tooth shaped flexible boards having a height of at least a vertical dimension maximum value of a subject to be dissected, formed of a flexible material having elastic deforming ability to fall inside or to be restorable into original shape according to the movement of both hands of an operator, and formed with depth of cuts in such a width dimension that only the elbow or arm part of the operator falls inside.
