<p>Electroplating light metal vehicle wheel rims with copper, nickel, chromium, silver and gold comprises: mechanical roughening or structuring of the surface of the rim;#chromium-free passivating/chromating of the whole rim;#applying one or more lacquer layers by immersion or spraying, the lacquer containing cyclohexane and isocyanate and an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer; and#ventilating and drying the layers using a particular rhythm. The dried surface is then chemically activated and electroplated.</p> |
