The headlight has a dimmer with three sheet metal screens (41-43) that are arranged one behind the other, where the screen (41) is fixed at a reflector (10). A drive (30) arranged at an outer side of the reflector swivels the screens (42, 43) relative to the screen (41) around a rotational axis, which is parallel to an optical axis of the headlight, to form a glaring outline for generating a border line between dark and light areas.
