PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce drive sound, while a driven member is driven, and drive the driven member with a torque suitable for a large load. SOLUTION: A motor controller has a stepping motor for driving the driven member, a drive means for driving the stepping motor using a rectangular wave or a sinusoidal wave, and a control means for setting the stepping motor to a rectangular wave drive or a sinusoidal wave drive (S103, S104), in response to one or both of the drive direction and the drive speed of the driven member (S100, S102).
