PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent magnetic single component developer generating no density irregularity in a halftone image. SOLUTION: The magnetic single component developer satisfies the condition of 1.1≤SF1(M)/SF1(F)≤1.5, wherein SF1(M) represents the shape factor of developer particles which pass through a sieve having a 45μm aperture and do not pass through a sieve having a 20μm aperture, and SF1(F) represents the shape factor of the entire developer particles.
