PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling salt accumulation on dry soil, improving water-retaining capacity of the soil so as to promote greening or farming the dry soil. SOLUTION: The method comprises adding fermented material consisting mainly of wheat bran or/and powdery one to the dry soil to ferment the mixture to control the salt accumulation on the dry soil and improve its water-retaining capacity.
