PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation part for combustion appliance having a compact size without requiring a space, and regularly usable at ease without fears of wrong operation. SOLUTION: In this operation part 2 having a display part 37 for displaying a room temperature or set temperature and a present time or timer time located in the center, an operation switch 38 related to direct combustion, an extension switch 39 of a safety timer for stopping combustion after a predetermined time, and an up-switch 40 and a down-switch 41 for set temperature or time, which are frequently used in general, are located on the observer's right side of the display part 37, and a timer switch 44, a child lock switch 45 and the like which are switches with auxiliary functions are located on the observer's left side of the display part 37. The operation part is thus easy to operate without fears of wrong operations and extremely convenient. Further, since the switches with auxiliary functions are arranged on the left side, sure operations can be performed without wrong operations, and the operation part can be regularly used at ease.
