PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy foam which can be substituted for an impact-energy absorption member made from a high-tensile steel plate. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy foam is made by foaming an aluminum alloy comprising 1.0-20.0% Zn, 0.1-5.0% Ca, 0.1-5.0% Ti, 0.1-5.0% Mg, and the balance aluminum with unavoidable impurities; contains foams having an average diameter controlled to 5 mm or smaller and relative density controlled to 0.1 or more; has cell walls of foams with an average hardness controlled to be 60 Hv or higher; and has a plateau stress of the aluminum alloy foam controlled to 4 MPa or higher.
