PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a pneumatic tire capable of being improved in uniformity by reducing a large air reservoir ready to occur in the vicinity of the end part of a tread reinforcing ply. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the pneumatic tire includes a side wall rubber molding process for molding an unvulcanized side wall rubber 2, a process for bonding the molded side wall rubber 2 to each of the side wall regions of a carcass ply 3 and a process for bonding the tread reinforcing ply 4 to the tread region of the carcass ply 3 so that both side edges 4e thereof are overlapped with at least a part of the end parts 2A on the tread side of the carcass ply 3. In the side wall rubber 2 molding process having a stepped part D for absorbing the thickness of the tread reinforcing ply 4 is molded on each of the end parts 2A. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
