PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection circuit for secondary battery pack that will not cause the safety of respective packs to deteriorate, even while making a circuit configuration simple. SOLUTION: A protection circuit for secondary battery pack includes a plurality of chargeable and dischargeable banks 110, 120 connected in series; controllers 130, 140 connected to the plurality of banks 110, 120 for sensing charge and discharge voltages and electric currents, and delivering a predetermined voltage during abnormality; a level shifter 150 connected to respective controllers 130, 140 for changing output voltages, such that the output voltages of respective controllers 130, 140 are the same; a first switch 170 turned on/off by the output voltage of the controller 130 or the level shifter 150; and a second switch 180 provided on a large current line for charging and discharging the plurality of banks 110, 120, and which is capable of stopping charge and discharge of the banks by being turned on or off by the first switch 170.
