The cooling system for a switchbox, with a fan and filter, is structured so that warm air (We) is passed through inflow openings (8) and outflow openings (15) from the interior (IR) to the exterior (AR). The filter housing (2) contains an inserted filter cassette (11), with an air channel (10) linking the fan (5) and the exterior through cold air inflow openings (20). The fan forces cold air (Ka) through outflow openings (9) into the interior. At least a warm air part (We') is passed through openings (23,23'), with an electrically controlled setting unit (24) to operate closing flaps or slides (26), to give an overlaid cold air flow.
