<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a developing device or process cartridge from being erroneously loaded in an image forming apparatus main body, in the developing device which contains only a carrier of a two-component developing material in advance, is fitted detachably to an image forming apparatus main body, and supplies toner after being fitted to perform development using the toner and forms a toner image on an image carrier, in a process cartridge equipped with at least such a developing device, or in an image forming apparatus equipped with such a developing device or a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: The developing unit (developing device) 13 or the process cartridge is provided with a transparent or translucent toner confirmation window 55 where the inner side can be viewed from an outside.
