<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of suppressing the deterioration by enabling the correspondence depending on the change of temperature of a laser beam source for forming a latent image in a latent-image carrier to prevent an excessive luminescence of a laser beam source. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam source and the latent image carrier are arranged inside the device. The laser beam modulated by the image data is scanned on the latent image carrier from the laser beam source, and an electrostatic latent image is formed on the latent image carrier. The electrostatic image formed on the carrier is developed with a developer to form an image. At that time a capacitor is charged and discharge using the monitor current of a light-quantity monitoring element for detecting the light-quantity of the laser beam irradiated from the laser beam source. An automatic adjustment of light-quantity is performed utilizing the charge and discharge of the capacitor. The temperature of the inside of the device is measured, and the limit value of the current impressed to the laser beam source at the time of automatically adjusting the light-quantity is changed according to the temperature measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
