DATA STRUCTURE OF METADATA RELATED TO MOVING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an invention allowing a viewer to easily check a state that object specification can be appropriately performed and easily check a specified object in moving image hypermedia composed of moving image data and its metadata.

SOLUTION: Metadata related to a moving image form a stream data structure constituted by including one or more access units each of which is a data unit to be independently processed. Each access unit comprises: first data for specifying a valid period defined on the basis of the time base of the moving image; object area data in which a time-spatial area in the moving image is described; second data for specifying processing to be performed when the time-spatial area is specified; third data including a display method for distinguishing the time-spatial area; and fourth data for specifying access of the third data when an event related to the time-spatial area is generated by a cursor operated by a user.
