PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system capable of maintaining the function of exhaust gas purifying catalyst by stably supplying added fuel irrespective of an operating condition of a diesel engine, and of suppressing a heat deterioration in the exhaust gas purifying catalyst.
SOLUTION: In an exhaust emission control system, a fuel adding valve 20 is arranged in the outside of the exhaust pipe bent on the upstream side of the exhaust gas purifying catalyst 11 while arranging the exhaust gas purifying catalyst 11 in an exhaust pipe 2 of a diesel engine so as to inject added fuel through the fuel adding valve to be supplied to the exhaust gas purifying catalyst. A fuel injecting direction FDa of the fuel adding valve is set opposed to a flow direction ED of exhaust gas EG in the exhaust pipe. The atomization of fuel is promoted by a collision with exhaust gas so that the heat deterioration in exhaust gas purifying catalyst can be also suppressed while the added fuel is stably supplied to the exhaust gas purifying catalyst. The extension of the distance from a fuel adhering portion AD to the catalyst leads to promotion of the atomization by mixing with exhaust gas.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
