<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate device through which even a person having no IC card can pass by means of an operation executed by a person having an IC card. <P>SOLUTION: The gate device 1 controls opening/closing of a gate, based on an entry request signal when it receives the entry request signal from an IC card 3 which a resident 2 carries. An infrared sensor 13 detects that a person enters through a gate. A ten key 12 inputs the number of passing persons by the operation executed by the resident 2. When a reader 11 receives the entry request signal from the IC card 3, a control part 10 determines, based on the entry request signal, whether a flapper 14 is to be opened. When the flapper 14 is determined to be opened, the control part 10 opens the flapper 14. When the number of passing persons detected by the infrared sensor 13 reaches the number of the passing persons input by the ten key 12, the control part 10 closes the flapper 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
