PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal whereby a user can surely and easily recognize a matter of contents during reproduction even when an operating mode for stopping at least a sound output from a speaker is selected. SOLUTION: When a CPU 21 of a control circuit 1 in the mobile terminal including a television reception function executes the television reception function and a manner mode is selected, if no earphone 10 is connected (S11, S12), the CPU 21 instructs a sound output circuit 9 to stop a sound output from the speaker 11 and instructs a multiplexed TV signal processing circuit 2 to display a television video image with a caption composed therewith on a display apparatus (S13, S14).
