PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a coupling medium which is easily operated for use, easily removed after use, does not contaminate surrounding environments, and does not degrade concrete products as a coupling medium used when an ultrasonic flaw detection method is applied to concrete products to be inspected such as a concrete telegraph pole. SOLUTION: The coupling medium contains a sodium silicate aqueous solution; ethylene glycol; glycerin; and a diglycerol. 2.5-5 pts. wt. of ethylene glycol; 10-25 pts. wt. of glycerin; and 30-50 pts. wt. of diglycerol are mixed with respect to 100 pts. wt. of sodium silicate in the sodium silicate aqueous solution.
