PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezing and refrigerating unit capable of ensuring durability of an inverter compressor 21 without exceeding a limit of compression ratio in a case that a filter (not shown) of a condenser 8 is clogged by oil drop or dust floating in a kitchen environment in a condition with a relatively sever compression ratio, in use of a high-boiling point refrigerant such as R134a or R600a, such as in a case having a low internal set temperature, and a refrigerator using it. SOLUTION: This unit comprises a control means reducing the rotating speed of the inverter compressor 21 by a predetermined quantity every predetermined time in a case that a condensation temperature detected by a condensation temperature sensor 16 is higher than a regulated value A of upper limit temperature calculated from an internal temperature detected by an internal temperature sensor 15.
