<p>Fly fishing lines (10, 20, 40) and methods for manufacturing fly fishing lines entail the use of polymer microspheres (16, 28, 48, 50) within the fly line coating (14, 24, 44, 46) to produce lines (10, 20, 40) with very low specific gravities. The fly lines (10, 20, 40) have single or multiple coatings. In fly lines having multiple coatings (20, 40), the inner coating (24, 44) includes polymer microspheres (28, 48) and the outer coating (26, 46) include either polymer microspheres (50) or glass microspheres (30).</p> |
