<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite container that is thermally insulated and lightweight and covered with a resin film without causing a surface failure. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal insulation composite container 1, its body includes an inner layer 2 containing bulk-processed pulp, and an outer layer 3 mainly made of pulp and having density higher than that of the inner layer 2. The body of the container 1 has a stacking step and the lower part from the step is made thinner than the top of the step. It is preferable that the angle of the taper of the internal face of the body extending from the step toward the bottom is smaller than the angle of the taper of the external face of the body.
