PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing EAA (ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer) resin fine particles, capable of producing the particles or composite particles thereof enclosing particles of a substance other than an EAA resin in a high yield, so that the particles have a particle diameter of≤10μm and are used for coating a surface of a very small member for medicinal use as well, so as to form a film having a thickness of≤20μm. SOLUTION: This method for producing the EAA resin fine particles comprises putting 1.0-5.0 pts.wt. of the EAA resin into 100 pts.vol. of a mixed solvent comprising xylene and ethylcellosolve or methylcellosolve in a vol. ratio of 30/70 to 70/30, dissolving the resin in the solvent, by heating the mixed liquid at 120-130°C and stirring the liquid, and adding, if necessary, a powder of a solvent-insoluble substance other than the resin having a particle diameter of≤3μm into the liquid, and lowering a temperature of the liquid to 40°C or lower, so that the particles having a maximum particle diameter of≤10μm and a median particle diameter D50 of 1-5μm are formed.
