PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an IP address required for communicating with a device connected to a network to be easily set. SOLUTION: An MFP is a communication device which can communicate with a server connected with a network, and comprises a port scan portion 123 for acquiring an IP address of the server which opens a predetermined port within servers connected to the network by a port scan; a display portion 107 for associating the IP address acquired with a port No. of the port opened by the server to be displayed; a selecting portion 127 for accepting a selection of a combination of the displayed IP address and the port No.; and a network environment storage portion 105A for storing the combination of the IP address selected and the port No. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
