PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the carrying speed and to prevent a recording medium from being wrinkled by allowing a lower hardness side and a higher hardness side toface each other in respective two rollers in a fixing apparatus, thereby uniformizing the press contact force. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with: a 1st roller which is rotated around an axis, and whose hardness is different between the vicinity of the left end and the vicinity of the right end in the axial direction; and a 2nd roller which is rotated in press contact with the 1st roller, and whose hardness is different between the vicinity of the left end and the vicinity of the right end in the axial direction. The two rollers are arranged so that the vicinity of the end part of the higher hardness side of the 1st roller is allowed to face the vicinity of the end part of the lower hardness side of the 2nd roller.
