PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground improvement structure in a back face of a structure, capable of preventing liquefaction and sucking-out by economically improving back-filling soil. SOLUTION: In this ground improvement structure 1 in the back face of the structure, a solidification body 7 of improving the back-filling soil 5 is formed on the reverse side of the structure, and this solidification body 7 is formed by covering inside unimproved soil 8 with outside improved soil 9. The solidification body 7 is formed in a shape along a slope face of a back-filling stone layer 4 formed in a downward inclination toward the reverse side from the structure.
