PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage capable of improving the position controlability by preventing the vibration in moving, and to provide a recorder with the carriage. SOLUTION: In the carriage 153 on which a recording head 152 is mounted, and to which a moving means 156 is coupled, a recording head mounting part 31 and a coupling part 32 of the moving means are separated, and the mounting part and the coupling part are coupled by a coupling means 33 having a non-linear elastic member. Hereby, the coupling means 33 works weakly in a stroke of a small amplitude level of the carriage vibration, or works strongly in a large stroke when the carriage is accelerated or decelerated to enhance the positional controlability of the carriage.
