In processing silver halogen films, a number of liquids are used, the photograph being immersed in each in turn. The liquids are housed in adjacent compartments of a single box (1, 3) occupying the upper portions of the compartments. At the bottom of the box the compartments are not divided, and contain an inert liquid which does not mix with the processing liquids. As film passes through the box is goes through a first processing liquid, into the inert liquid, and back up into the second processing liquid. The inert liquid keeps the processing liquids apart, but takes no part in the chemical processing.
|
