When an intake air temperature Ta is not lower than a threshold value Tref, an engine is controlled by setting a target operation point by using an operation line where negative pressure in an intake manifold is increased to promote treatment of evaporated fuel. When the intake air temperature Ta is lower than the threshold value Tref and heating is requested, the amount of EGR is increased and a cooling system is switched to a circulation mode for engine warming where a radiator is bypassed, and the engine is controlled by setting a target operation point by using an operation line where negative pressure in the intake manifold is reduced and fuel consumption is improved. Consequently, fuel consumption in engine warming can be enhanced. |
