<p>An inlet system for an IC engine has the inlet air ducted to a distribution chamber (3) in which are positioned the inlet ducts for the cylinders, usually arranged in two rows and with an insert element (19) comprising a flexible inflated shape which enables a resonance charging mode to be used to distribute the airflow to the pistons. The inflated element is linked to an air pressure control system and can be of any suitable cross sectional shape.</p> |
