The fastening arrangement for a Bowden cable has a retaining component (6) of elastomer material with an encompassing slot or neck which with the retaining component fastened on a support component (4.1) accommodates the edge of an opening provided in the support component. Oppositely disposed key faces (10) are formed in the base (9.2) of the slot, their relative spacing corresponding to the smallest clear width (12.2) of the narrowed access (12) to the opening, while the diametrical spacing of the base sections (9.3) lying between the key faces has an oversize in relation to the cross section of the opening.
