<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing burden associated with quality inspection in a printing result inspecting apparatus which carries out quality inspection of preprinting papers. <P>SOLUTION: After a printing processing part 10 carries out printing using original image data with the use of a black toner to the preprinting paper to which a preprinting image of preprinting image data is printed beforehand, a judging part 35 judges, according to preprinting monochrome image data obtained by reading by infrared light the preprinting paper before printing, whether the black toner is used for the preprinting image of the preprinting paper before printing. A collating part 37 acquires monochrome inspection image data by reading by infrared light the printed preprinting paper. Moreover, if the judging part 35 judges that an infrared absorbing color material is not used, the collating part 37 compares the monochrome inspection image data with the original image data corresponding to the data, thereby carrying out quality inspection of whether an original image is normally printed to the preprinting paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
