摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cross connector capable of efficiently operating a network in the entire optical networks. <P>SOLUTION: A destination address of a client is uniquely associated with a wavelength by forming full mesh topology by wavelength paths in a network. Namely, a wavelength path can be allocated to all client devices in a fixed manner. Since this optical cross connector is provided with optical switches 1 and 2, a change in wavelength on a path connecting clients does not matter. In short, a correspondence relation between the destination address and the wavelength can be set in a fixed manner in each optical cross connector. Each optical cross connector monitors the correspondence relation between the address and the wavelength and selects a wavelength corresponding to the destination address to thereby be able to transmit a packet signal at high speed without depending on an external device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
