<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording body which is of a high gloss and suitable for outputting a photographic image, is adjusted to have a good feel of whiteness without impairing ink absorbing properties and image storage properties, and provides a clear photograph-toned image. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording body has a substrate, and a solvent absorbing layer and a coloring matter fixing layer which are provided sequentially on at least one side of the substrate. The solvent absorbing layer contains an inorganic pigment of an average particle diameter of 1 μm or less, a water-soluble binder and a fluorescent brightener, while the coloring matter fixing layer contains a vapor-phase silica of an average particle diameter of 1 μm or less and the water-soluble binder. The haze value of the solvent absorbing layer is 40 or more, while the haze value of the coloring matter fixing layer is lower than that of the solvent absorbing layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
